Pro: in a beautiful surrounding. Con: expensive and the ice coffee wasn't really to write home about. Apfel strudel tasted great, yet € 5,00 for a small piece is a bit too much in my opinion.

In my opinion, a super tasty German restaurant. Staff very friendly. Great waiters who aren't constantly changing. Overall, the restaurant leaves a great family impression. The food is very tasty and, in my opinion, really cheap.

We were there twice within a short period of time. After I wasn't particularly impressed with "Wiener Schnitzel" the first time (very dry and breading literally stuck to the meat), this time I had "Roast Venison with Red Cabbage and Dumplings" (it couldn't be drier or tougher and red cabbage had no taste and was inedible ) I didn't hear much better from the others either. The dessert was also disappointing, chocolate cake with no liquid core and a pancake for 6€, oh well Heaven & Earth and the fries were probably good. All in all, there is a lot of room for improvement here. I also think it's a shame that if you spend €500 there within a week, you don't even get any attention from the house. Apparently they have enough regulars, we're certainly not one of them.

We went to dinner with the family at Christmas. Very friendly staff and good service. There was a menu with a small, varied selection. The soups as starters were unfortunately a bit poor. Not much better than a packet of soup. The main dishes and desserts, on the other hand, were really excellent. The ambiance is "rustic" a bit cold. But I think we were also seated in a hall that was not usually one of the standard seats. The food came very quickly and no one had to wait. All in all a recommendable place.

Great place for a wedding reception We celebrated our wedding at the Forsthaus Specht in Bottrop in November 2022 and were absolutely thrilled. From the very beginning we received professional support from the Lenko family. Planning the wedding reception in the hall went smoothly and the result was spectacular. The dishes were all imaginative, tasted at the highest level and were pure enjoyment! It was obvious that the kitchen team spared no effort, to fulfill our wishes. The service was courteous, friendly and competent. We can recommend Forsthaus Specht to anyone who is looking for a location with charm, great food and outstanding service. We couldn't have imagined a better place for our wedding reception!

We celebrated our wedding there yesterday. From planning to the wedding, the support was simply great. The food was brilliant and the bosses + all the service staff were just great. Good food at reasonable prices. Always fresh and delicious. Nice menu and something seasonal and regional on the daily and weekly menu. Polite team. And I have to say that my grandparents went there very often and I still enjoy going there, Specht.
